David and Diego are the only Byzantine Catholic monks in South America. Their days pass in this monastery, that was recently founded by them in a dry and isolated place in the province of Buenos Aires, and that is still under construction. David paints icons, Diego translates Christian texts from Greek and Russian into Spanish. They both belong to the Byzantine rite, akin to the tradition of early Christianity.
Nature, which every day draws their landscape is filtered through the windows of the cells, thus setting the timing for each activity and daily routine.
One day this routine is disrupted by the arrival of a visitor who – that due to a drought of months - ask them for an spiritual intercession.
Some time later, one night the chants of the monks and the congregation, they merge together with the sounds of the storm and the first raindrops start to fall.
The next morning, David and Diego leave the monastery to do a retreat in the hills.
There the landscape turns into silence and it is in silence where the lays the mystery made landscape. Each one speaks. Each one speaks what is kept silent. This is the sheet music for the hushed music.
